Just in case you missed these titles, below are some apps that were covered in the CrackBerry Blogs this past week. Check 'em out!

BuddyGuard Beta

BuddyGuard Beta
BuddyGuard Beta is a remote wiping app for your BlackBerry. You can use it to wipe out your contacts, messages, phone logs and more. To do so, you can send SMS commands to your device, and it takes care of the rest. As an example, let's say you want to wipe your device. All you need to do is send an SMS to your number and in the text enter bg-wipe "password" (your password, of course) and send. That's it. Kinda cool.

You can pick up BuddyGuard Beta for free in our store
. A minimum of OS 4.2.1 is required.

GetFugu Mobile Search App

GetFugu Mobile Search App

With the new GetFugu Mobile Search App, you can use images or your voice to hunt down what you're looking for. Besides those two basic functions, there's also a 'Get It' feature that will point you towards products and services in your immediate area.

Here's the low-down from the folks at GetFugu:

See it.

  • Simply take a picture of a sign or logo of the brand you are looking for. Getfugu searches for the brand associated withthe picture and then gets information and exclusive content. Find specials, locations or buy online!

Say it.

  • Speak a brand name, company name, product or other keyword into your phone to start your search with Getfugu. GetFugu uses voice recognition technology to search for brand names and other key words, then delivers cool content to your phone such as exclusive promotions, videos, trailers, coupons and more.

Get it.

  • Get it uses your location to point you to products and services that are close to you. Take advantage of sales, find great dining or get tickets for a play right around the corner

For now, GetFugu is only available 'officially' for the Bold 9700, Curve 8900, Curve 8520 and Curve 8300 series... But look for more device support to come online soon. For more information or to get your hands on a copy, hit up GetFugu.com.

StockIcons

StockIcons

This is kind of cool. If you're an active daytrader, or just dabble in the markets, StockIcons from ToySoft Development is a handy little app. It takes all of your stocks and displays information on them as icons on your homescreen. Awesome. Each icon contains the stock symbol, current price, and the price change for the day. Everything is customizable, and 32 stocks can be in play at any one time.

Anywhere Abs

Anywhere Abs

Heaven knows I could use a good workout right about now. Hunched over my computer all day, working away doesn't help. Oh, and with holiday treats and goodies piling up in my kitchen, my waistband is certainly reaching new holiday heights. With that in mind, I may have to give Anywhere Abs a try to help me trim out.

Here's the official description from the good folks at NickelBuddy:

Anywhere Abs is like having a workout partner on your BlackBerry. It will guide you step-by-step through a routine to strengthen your core. This routine, which takes only 6 minutes to complete at the Advanced level, is perfect for the frequent traveller or for home use. It can be performed anywhere there is space on the floor, making it an ideal hotel room workout! Anywhere Abs consists of 6 exercises, performed while a timer counts down for the duration of each exercise. A detailed description of each exercise is available for reference at any time during the workout.

Anywhere Abs is available for $2.99 in our store >

Yet another Bible app has risen in our store. The good folks at YouVersion are responsible for this one. NYC SubwayNYC Subway

For all of our good friends in New York City, Railbandit has released a new NYC Subway app for BlackBerry. If you spend a lot of time using the NYC Subway system, this one could really come in handy. This one contains a trip planner and stores all data locally to bring all of the info you need, no matter if you're in a tunnel or a place with no network connection.

For more information check out the NYC Subway app here.

Note: There's a separate version for the Storm and Storm2 you can check that version out right here.

3D Super-G Stunt3D Super-G Stunt

How about some hi-flying action? This one takes me back to 'Pilotwings' for the good 'ol Super NES. Hopefully someone out there remembers that one :P 3D Super-G Stunt brings aerobatic racing to your Berry. Maneuver your plane through sky gates in a whole bunch of different environments. There are eight levels, a bunch of biplanes to choose from with 10 different paint schemes, multiple camera views, and a whole lot more. At the moment this one is only available for the Bold 9000 and Bold 9700... But I'm hoping a new version will come out with support for other devices.

3D Super-G Stunt is available for $6.95 until December 31st. Check it out right here.

LogCutLogCut

LogCut is a simple app that ads an icon that opens your device's built-in event log viewer and manager. If you're curious about your Berry's history, or simply want to copy parts of the log for support purposes, this is the tool to help you do so. Many more options are built-in to this one, and all that is required is OS 4.2.1 or newer. If you give it a shot, be sure to let us know what you think.

You can pick up LogCut for $0.99 >

Cool at BlackBerry App World:

Chess

Chess

While pushing my way through the newly 'themed up' App World (man, there are themes everywhere!), I came across this title and thought 'yep, I need to get some folks out there using their noggins... Chess oughta do it!' The Chess app from Odesys lets you play against the AI, or other players from all over the globe. Any time of day or night, pop this one open and there will be a game waiting for you! The computer AI has 8 levels of difficulty, and there are multiple Undo/Redo levels to help you erase those mistaken moves.

Chess will run you $4.99... and it's available in App World right now!

Note: Next week I may start pulling out more apps with a holiday flavor to them. Till then... checkmate!

Freebie of the Week:

Bubble Chain for the Storm

New from Robert at RoboCon comes BubbleChain. It's a simple puzzle game that focuses on the elimination of bubbles. The game starts out with a series of floating bubbles, your job is to pop as many as you can by starting series of reactions. By touching the screen and creating collisions, the bubbles will start to pop. As the chain of bubbles continues to grow, the explosions will get smaller while doubling in points. Score as many points as you can and submit them for viewing on our worldwide leader boards.

It's absolutely free to download and play, so check it out right here in our store. Have fun!
